I was hoping to trade my Alchemy license, but something tells me it won't be possible. Personal details are built into the installer, and the license transfer page doesn't seem to be there. Ho-hum, maybe I'll actually use it instead. Still a great instrument.

BTW I also bought Camelphat and Camelspace but I don't see them in my products download page. I'm pretty sure I got them from there last time. Anyone else?

I'm surprised JRR haven't already pulled the Camel products they have on their site. When you look at the individual item pages, they mostly say "After ordering, please create an account at https://www.camelaudio.com/support.php".
Well, if you don't already have an account there you won't be able to create one now. Even if you do have an account I doubt you will be able to register a new product on it now.

So, if you bought the stuff I don't think you will be able to register it and hence will not be able to use it.

because as far as Im aware, Im the only person to have mentioned jrrshop as a 3rd-party supplier in several dozen pages, and what I specifically said was that the person asking how to get hold of alchemy forom a 3rd party should ask one of those 3rd parties, ie jrrshop what the situation was with the copies they had on sale. which is a pretty different thing.

*I* said *if* there are retailers out there that had copies for sale, which included the serial number, then a sale would presumably be possible. I don't know if that's the case. Obviously if it requires going to the Camel servers then it's not going to work - but if it was boxed product with a serial number, or pre-generated serials, as happens with other software, then sales would be presumably possible.

For those interested, query your retailers as to whether this is possible or not - and let us know the outcome, would be good info to have.

Did anyone get email about this new? Why should all their customer need to read forums or a music magazine website to get this important notice?

Well, this is all moot. I have no idea how to get a copy if it's even possible and if I did get one, would it even work with no online verification possible? Too risky to even chance it. My only hope is that somebody buys them out and makes the product available again in the future.

does anyone know if camelspace (only CA plug i own) has built-in watermark or do i need a serial number? I am wondering because i want to have a backup of camelspace once the servers are gone. well, i have the backups already in place, just curious about their drm.

and i grabbed camelcrusher while i was at it.

maybe its time to use that 10 grand's worth of other software you do have instead, then, instead of suddenly fixating on the one you cant have the day it becomes unavailable.

You can pick up the player version and install that. Obviously its not the same, but still a decent instrument.

You can't want it that badly if you can't even be bothered to send a few email inquiries or make some phone calls about the possibility of buying it...

Its built in to all their plugins now, so you no longer need the keyfile thing they used to do. Just install and go. So if you just follow the backup instructions on their site (whenever you can download again) that should be all you need
