So i could put a temp password, give that to a buyer, then they change it and ALL the details to their own personal ones. I would never myself be able to access the account again, and I won't download anything if i give a sale a trial and see if there is any interest. If not, then i will do my own backup. (person can see in the acc last time i downloaded).

so i don't see any issue with selling my account to one person, I haven't downloaded the stuff for ages and it's not even installed any more.

I can clearly say downloads will not be available after July 7, and that should make it ok shouldn't it? The only caveat is they will have to have everything, space, alchemy, massive bank, and all alchemy banks. Will give it some thought i guess.

Anyway I am under the impression that i am governed by the EULA that was existing when i bought everything, with the last purchase being over a year ago, so IMO it's not illegal as such to sell.
Well, I hope that's true. What would be nice is if a CA rep would actually verify that.

** EDIT ** Just logged into my CA account and yes, can see that I can change all the info including password.

Have no idea what any of this means in reality, if anything.

There's a guy here met a lawyer once so he can 'almost guarantee' he can get a response from CA.

would the installer be watermarked with the original personal information though?

Know what wise guy? Why don't you go take a long leap off a short peer? I'm tired of your snide remarks.

** EDIT ** An ignore feature. Thank God I found it.

Would be interesting if you, or anyone else interested, tried this: change all personal info to something temporary. Then log out of account. Log back in. (re)download the installers, and see if the installer is still using your original personal info or the new info.

imo the biggest dirtbag move here, which I hope doesn't happen, will be if they block transfers or if they don't facilitate transfers in such a way that your entire personal info isn't also embedded in the transfer.

I wouldn't do that. There is a reason for license transfer. Who give you the guarantee that the buyer is not a kind of supplier and your software (which can be traced back to you maybe) ends on every torrent?

How will you clear the situation without an approved transfer?

What happens when you want it all back 6 months later..? Or access projects that used those tools?
You realise you'll be mostly out of luck..?

You're under the EULA that you agreed to, yes. Does it have a time limit, or mention that you are allowed to give your account details to someone else?

The fact that you technically *can* is in no way related to what you are legally *allowed* to do, whatever you may think...

Before people make plans for contingencies, I'd recommend just hanging back a bit and seeing what happens first. You'll be the first to complain of missing out if existing Camel users get a sweet upgrade deal to something cool later on... (for example)

Who should buy an account from a company which is closing its business (and the accounts only work until July)? I wouldn't... :nutter:

That's one of the worst closing business cases I've ever seen (okay, nothing can compete with the case of Team DNR). An announcement here at KVR would have been the least I had expected...

KVR people even supported the founder from Nomad Factory when he was seriously ill, they would have helped Camel Audio, too.

What is wrong with you.

Any kind of blackout, is that green light for looting?

The site has been "down" for less than two days. For gods sake, have some patience.

I see so many posts how well Camel Audio was liked and how they were good guys, but all that seems forgotten in an instant, everybody is only thinking about how to get most out of it for themselves.
