Alchemy is old yeah and i think now is the best chance some known company like spectrasonics would takeover the alchemy concept. Why? Omnisphere has not such granular feature. On purpose?

Im open for any trustable and serious company. The concept vould be refreshed but please no izotope. Thoss rip offers?
Keeping their website open (and paying for server space, etc) for current users to download their paid-for files for another six months seems quite supportive and respectful of CA's customers to me. They could have simply pulled everything off-line at no further expense to them.

I think you need to chill out a little bit and not be so paranoid about other people's affairs and assuming the worst of people. I'm sure shutting down their business isn't exactly a simple process, emotionally, legally, or otherwise. A little empathy for the complications Ben is facing in shutting down a business he clearly put significant time and resources into might relax you a bit--as I recall reading, he had people already testing Alchemy 2, so it isn't as if they were pulling a fast one on anyone, they had already invested a ton into more work.

(besides that being something of an unknown at this point) Moving on... Shit happens.

Spectrasonics would need to improve their 'other' engines to even compete with Alchemy.
But it seems like the most logical choice, if it isn't also being groomed for a buy out to retire on.
HALion 5 is another candidate and the one I've added to my arsenal for it's sample/granular/subtractive etc. engines.
Although TBH, neither of them have the character in sound I get from Alchemy. And really, why should they? The fact that they each have their own is their reason for being in the first place.
And even though the OP doesn't want to hear it, I would venture a possible of using PadShopPro and Iris in Blue Cat's Patchwork or even Spectral if Iris is just become a never to them.
Harmor was mentioned with it's pros and cons and in many ways is a viable candidate. But somehow I feel you would need a combination of methods in layers to achieve an 'Alchemy type' patch.

For me, Alchemy was something I never concerned myself with sounds vs. genre and was something I bought into wholeheartedly regardless of it 'bloating' it's own browser because of my SAS with it. I will continue to use it until some future 128 bit OS/DAW no longer lets me bridge it.

I am going to be stuck as 90% of my sounds come from Alchemy. I also have Omnisphere which is great but only at certain things and SynthMaster which is just not as good as Alchemy sound wise. So I do not know what I will replace Alchemy with once it becomes incompatible

Hopefully by the time Alchemy 'just won't work' in some future machine,
there will be a replacement or even a whole new set of emulations trying to recreate it.
Or better yet, do what it does and far more.

For additive resynthesis, Harmor seems even better and does a lot Alchemy doesn't however I don't think it can morph different sources. The only other thing I've seen do that is Cube I think.

Well, there are already better alternatives for the individual elements. I prefer to use those. The whole macro thing was never my bag, so no great loss here. I cant think of a single thing i'd miss really.

I'm going to use Alchemy 1.55 for a long time, as well as my other soft synths.. Three or four years into the future a least. By then hardware will have developed so much that I likely won't miss them when they get broken by new OS's etc. By that time there will be new tools developed to take advantage of the increased CPU power..perhaps computers architecture and UI's will be developed so far that relatively low skilled users will be able to develop their own synths if they should so desire.

Another thing is the idea that the sequencer sampler, recorder and synths will melt even more into one intuitive interface...with faster workflows..better ways to grasp the whole and navigate the many parametres involved in developing a finished track..

Yes of course, you're absolutely right.
No idea what I was thinking there.
