Could be good news for those looking to buy Alchemy second hand but can people still create a new account ? :?
I did get confirmation that I could transfer my license if the buyer had an account already. Considering the circumstances I think it would be WISE that if anyone is looking to transfer they should contact CA beforehand themselves in case CA get flooded with transfer requests.
Yes of course you should contact them. But if someone is wanting to buy Alchemy and don't already have a CA account it looks like they are out of luck.

If someone is trying to sell Alchemy they can only sell it to someone who already owns CamelSpace etc......complicated at this point but let's see what happens in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

The fact that you got any communication from CA is a good sign....... :)

Out of interest, what was the name of the person who replied (if you don't mind saying)?
Actually yeah was it Martin? as that's the last one i spoke to a year back. (replied to an email of ours).
Actually no name this time. Just "Hi" and " Thanks" at the end.

Ditto. Hell, if it's true that licenses can be transferred to existing users, I may even try to scrounge up the few expansions I don't already have.

What I've been trying to hint at is that if support is operating to the extent that they can transfer licences, then although the website has been locked down, presumably a potential buyer could email support@camelaudio.com and ask to register an account. No?

Yes they could ask but whether that request is granted is another thing. I have the feeling if things are shutting then new accounts aren't going to be a high priority or even possible. :?

Good news for registered users... but from another perspective am i the only one to be disappointed? They reply to resell request and don't say a word about this weird situation?

But on the other hand you could say that the fact they are allowing any license transfers could be considered good news and a sign that all is not lost......... :)

I don't know why I'm asking all this because I have no interest in selling my licences but - @tonkatodd - has the transfer fee been waived in your reply from CA?

At any rate I fear this thread will reach hundreds of pages before we know the whole story. I still think NAMM January 22-25 might be a clue.........
