Pretty sure it's always been 50% off, if you buy it with all 29 sound banks.trimph1 wrote:TonyVegas wrote:Quick recap for anyone just checking in now:

All speculation on my side, but as I see it right now it would be a 75% chance for Apple (sadly, I HOPE I am wrong with this), and then 25% chance for a major DAW company. Maybe Native instruments aside from a DAW maker.Sampleconstruct wrote:What's your bid?ragout wrote:I bet we will know more with NAMM 2015.

Well, I for one am growing a little tired of the magnanimousness...
My guess they just wanted to get out ...and California seemed like a fine option. I hope that they do see this and cry themselves to sleep on their giant cash-filled pillows
(Warning ...this has some heavy language)
(Jokes people ....I'm really going to feel like a d@#k if injury or ill health is a factor in this)

The more I think about it, the more I feel so disappointed.
As a small indipendent musician I invested so much money, efforts, plans for the future on Alchemy. A few years and the plugin will be so outdated... What a waste!
Now I just do have to sweat to spare good money for a new journey elsewhere (maybe Mach Five?).
Thanks Camels, thank you so much.

Sorry to burst your bubble right there - but this whole story should teach you one major thing:
Software doesn't live forever.
We live in a fast paced world, technology can change on a daily basis. I am surprised that certain tools from like 5 years back still work on my rig. On the other hand, my 20+ year old hardware is still working without any bigger pulled tips/tricks.

I don't know why NI would buy CA. Unless they fuse it with Absynth. I don't see a hole in their product line to warrant purchasing a whole IP.ragout wrote:All speculation on my side, but as I see it right now it would be a 75% chance for Apple (sadly, I HOPE I am wrong with this), and then 25% chance for a major DAW company.
