I only mentioned the new installer because I think I was the cause of that. That is why they added the check against your Camel account - because of something I found and told them about when working on Anomaly for Alchemy....

But I only see problems when their server goes dark. That is why I mention it.....

'Demise'? The status is still an unquantified entity in this case. They may be riding the crest
of a new wave, that has simply yet to be announced.
Ye, the funny thing for me is, the CA sub is locked, not moved to the bottom like DNR's one (that is definitely tits up), for instance. Maybe I'm reading too much into that

I thought that was kind of weird. :hihi: I was wondering what the hell all that was on the top. Thanks for clearing that up. I always keep it on the bottom myself.

Meanwhile, the most prolific thread in KVR history about the sudden death of Camel Audio some how shifts into a full blown "Do You Keep The Taskbar On The Top Or On The Bottom?" flame thread.
.-.
i hate it on the buttom, it makes it hard in the daw to navigate. :D

looks like the air is out of the thread :?

It is more useful to me to have that chunk of the screen taken up higher on the screen as I tend to look down, so I get more workspace without the taskbar breaking my workspace.

It does promote issues with window handling though as Ameyah mentioned.. Some developers start their applications at 0,0 coordinates on the screen (top, left corner). Meaning, the menu bar for applications can end up hidden and I have to move the taskbar around or some other maneuver to move the application lower on screen.

Now back to the Camels :hihi:

The new installer uses your Camel Audio account to confirm what you own. I wonder how that will work after July?

I am keeping the previous installer backed up.[/quote]

I got it to work in offline mode by killing my Internet connection before launching.
