Thanks a lot!!

AU will be working once 0.8.1 gets release by the end of the years/begining of the year. Sorry, I've been busy with other projects (and Max 7 has just been released :hyper: )....
or january 2015 :D

Awesome, can't wait for AU version.

just wanted to say that this has got me back into FM synths. Sold my last ( a DX21 ) in '94 and never really took to the FM7 / FM8 for some reason. Yes, they are awesome, but the demos never spoke to me.
On this I have already come up with a handful of great bass patches, and two musical ideas, not to mention thoroughly enjoyed going through some archived Dx7 sysex patches by some Japanese FM masters.

Thanks so much! brilliant :D

Nice. Can you audition patches without selecting?

I hope just selecting (highlighting) the preset in the browser loads the preset without the need to double click it or pressing "Enter" for just loading (like in some synths). Double click or Enter, would exit the browser and return to the edit window loading the highlighted preset.

It would be nice of course to have the presets selected by arrow keys, although I expect this to be by default :) So one hand on the arrow keys while the other one plays/audition the presets. Also, it would be absolutely useful to have the presets being able to be flagged in a way like a favourite :hyper:
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

I also would like this feature added [/quote]

I just repeated this post since something happened to the code that messed up its display (and because I still think this feature is very important).

I've been playing with the very nice Dexed VST for a few days, and I really like the sound.

Much like everyone else here, I'd like to thank the developer for this synth, and I'd like to thank BlackWinny for his work in sorting and de-duping all the SYSEX files, and creating the "cart" for this cool synth. (Frankly, I wouldn't have had the patience or stamina to write the "readme" file BlackWinny included with the presets--let alone wading through tens of thousands of presets in the hopes of making a comprehensive list!)

Finally, thank you to the beta-testers and others who helped shape the synth. Great work, everyone!

Hi everybody,

I'm very pleased with Dexed 0.8 VST running inside Ableton Live 64 on my Windows box, but no luck on the Mac (also Live 64Bit) - is there anything I'm missing? 0.7 seems to be working ok.

Thanks Legrand

Hey guys,

I tried to play this default yamaha dx7 bank on fm8 and dexed:

Banks: http://bobbyblues.recup.ch/yamaha_dx7/d ... banks.html
Video presets:

I compared the sound of that bank 1a on fm8 and dexed: While fm8 seems to accurately sound like the original dx7, dexed sounds a lot more "harsh" and not so smooth.

My question is now, is this a limitation or some setting I did not understand? I also tried the different player engines, without any change... Is it possible to configure dexed in a way that it emulated the dx7 most accurately?

Thanks for help!
