So, i'm wondering. Why all the hate for an Izotope takeover? I get the disappointment relating to the recent Ozone and Iris updates but if it meant Alchemy 2 was released as intended (even if rebranded) and Ben retained creative control over the product would it be so bad?
Surely a bigger company would be able to supply a much better sample library than an independent, something which would benefit the product greatly. I don't see Izotope having a competing product in this regard (granular/sampler at least), unlike NI or IKM.
At least it would still be available for Windows too.

My worst theories: (so far)
1. Apple bought Camel just to piss us off.
2. Google bought Camel just to piss off Apple.
3. Microsoft bought Camel to try and look cool, like you know...
4. NI bought Camel because they heard that there were rumours on KVR that Komplete wasn't nearly komplete enough.
5. Some Shanghai billionaire/self-styled no-talent tarnce artist bought Camel to be the only guy on the planet with Alchemy 2.
6. Disney bought Camel to add authenticity to their new animated feature about a herd of thespian Elk who perform bad Scottish camel impersonations as they work their way across the Highlands in search of a sequel that actually has a plot.
7. SONY bought Camel to keep the North Koreans from hacking Alchemy 2 causing world-ending gangnam spectral-style remixes.
8. A group of disgruntled, well-funded Scottish nationalists bought Camel audio because it was cheaper than taking whiskey off the market. And just as painful.
9. The NSA bought out/silenced Camel because the Alchemy 2 technology was so advanced that it could produce tracks that would liberate the human spirit, even when created by guys who usually spend their days and nights sitting around in the underwear gawking at cat pics on KVR bitwig threads.
10. Camel was NOT bought out. However, late last Monday a white ford transit was seen pulling away from Camel HQ driven by Scarlett Johansson.

Another theory:
AVID has bought Camel Audio. They will create an AAX plugin for Alchemy 2 and cancel the VST and AU plugins.
There seem to be AAX plugins for CamelSpace and CamelPhat but not for Alchemy yet.

Suddenly Alchemy 2 will be released for free on NSA.gov website, but Alex Jones will discover that this build is implanting subliminal messages into all sounds produced...
