Long shot. Heard it on the radio (actually, it was Coldcut's Solid Steel session on Kiss 100 in the early 90's). It had a lot of very experimental granular, almost glitchy modulated sounds that would at times freak out in a kinda vocal way (making sounds like "yaahhEEE!!), constantly morphing. There was french poetry and spoken lines at key parts, and I think heavy impact sounds, like something metal was gradually being bombarded with more and more projectiles.

Either that or I've designed the perfect thread to guarantee zero replies :tu:

'early french granular' makes me think Pierre Schaeffer, or possibly Pierre Henry, but I dont know the composition itself, sorry.
An idiot on Set Theory:

Probably something from the Musique concrète movement...

Thanks for the pointers. Will check them out.

Something came to me. At one point there is speech saying "Lire.... Lire!" in a very intent kinda way.

Surely that'll help :>

Thanks. I was looking for something like this but couldn't find it. It's not 100% complete but it might help me track down a few obscure tunes :)
