Fair enough, but a piece of hardware has a chance of lasting a lifetime. Software Is immediately doomed the moment development and/or support stops.valhallasound wrote:This holds true for everything in this universe, including you and I.blueman wrote: All software will eventually completely cease to exist; in essence, its usability is always limited by time.
Case in point: there is nothing like a vintage DOS application that still looks and sounds great in Windows 7

The downside is that there is probably a parallel, but younger and happier universe with a bunch of KVRians whooping it over the release of Alchemy 3, now with sub-space resynthesis.valhallasound wrote:This holds true for everything in this universe, including you and I.blueman wrote: All software will eventually completely cease to exist; in essence, its usability is always limited by time.
The upside is we won't live long enough to have supersaw debates with them.
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

Ableton isnt eating company, look at their instrument device they do rather partner with companies like you can with Cycling'74 or AAS. the same goes for the Instrument packs, that way the partner company got free hands to come up with something new.selvmarcus wrote:My bet is Ableton. They are big and need something smart in the medium term against the uprising Bitwig competition, which will go fully modular sometime soon with 2.0 version. Ableton has Max4live and several respectable builtins, but the integration is rather complex. Alchemy 2 as a builtin instrument for Live and/or modularized into Max4Live would give them a killer feature. I hope so. All will be good.
so i doubt Ableton bought Camel Audio.
still hope and think, nobody bought them, i mean CA webpage is up for almost 7 months to grab your stuff, thats not the way something works out, when you buy a company.
i just think they will relaunch with new concepts and new location.
some maths geeks here?
i need help with general Hilbert space concepts.

main help is needed for the Operator-theory and some basics.

What absolute douche baggery...........yessongs wrote: I can show companies that qualify here in the states how to sell their company to a trust that they control and when the transaction happens they are rewarded with 23 major tax incentives and get paid 100% the value of their company plus interest all for selling their company essentially to themselves. The employees would also benefit with extra retirement benefits. The strategy is very esoteric and maybe a handful of experts have the accreditation and expertise to pull it off here in the USA. This being the case anyone who has a company that does $20 MM in annual revenue with at least 20 plus employees and a 5 year track record in business would be blessed to have a chat with me and not a little bit. I could double your net profit from the exit strategy since when you pursue our advice you are also able to avoid 100% of the capital gains tax you otherwise will pay on the profits from selling your company and that here in the USA is probably going to be 40% of the proceeds from selling your company so really if you avoid that tax you are almost doubling your net profit right off the bat.
Too bad the average working Joe can't avoid paying their taxes.
I'm not going to debate it with you......just know that there is an especially hot corner of Hell waiting for you.........
