For those who care just a heads up that the new prodigy single nasty nasty will be aired tonight on zane Lowe (bbc radio 1),quite a big release seeing that nothing new has come out since 2009,more official news is expected today also

I remember them saying this album was going to be "Brutal". So I wonder if it will be a bit heavier than their normal stuff? It won't be dubsteppy though, because Liam said he dislikes that stuff.

Yeah,I'm hoping the 'brutal' doesn't mean the overuse of distortion this time,even the beats were drenched in it on AONO and IMD!

Really? They were playing a dubstep version of Thunder live IIRC. Also theres a Flux Pavillion collab on the album. I would say that the few attempts at dubstep i've heard from Liam have all been a bit pants though.

Watching the teaser vid kinda implies its gonna lean more in the rock direction anyway.

From the Facebook and instagram videos that we've seen I don't think this will be a rock album,liam has been using an oberheim/sub phatty,microbrute quite a bit in those videos but who knows

Agreed with Liam's dubstep production though,it ain't great but I liked his dub work on maxims scheming song in which he did the beats and bass(well before dubstep even was born)

The teaser vid does seem to spend a lot of time focusing on the guitarist and the drummer though. I'm hoping the rock elements are fairly minimal too, the weakest parts of Invaders were the rockier tracks (Piranha, Colours, Wolves). I guess we'll have a better idea tonight.

Yeah I remember reading that Liam said this album is gonna be more aggressive than previous works, but that Flux Pavillion collab has me worried, as that guy makes really horrible screechy dubstep

Yeah,he is like at the arse end of dubstep for me(I don't like it anyway),I respect kids liking it though,I'm now 38 and can remember when my dad first heard 'pandemonium' by the prodigy in his ford escort and he thought THAT was noise,skrillex and the like have taken it all to another level
