I'm curious about the availability of your other creations! Are they for sale or merely private collections?

I must say your take on David Gibson looks really interesting! But I guess there might be some copyright issues realesing something like that? I read somewhere that Gibson did have a software implementation of it, but didn't sell it himself. Not sure if that's true or not.

Thanks for the interest, pc. They're just personal use for now / me exercising my creative tendencies for fun. (Like playing with Legos.) I'm sure each of the plug-ins have their own issues making them imperfect for a commercial release. The main issues I mentioned in the TalkBass thread. Hopefully you all find the OC-D2 to be bug-free.

Beltrom - I have never been able to find any mention of Gibson releasing his Art of Mixing software either, though I have seen video of it in production. I'm sure I would get sued if I tried to sell my plug-in version of it, however. Probably the reason why he never released it is that by it's own nature, it is a very limited/simplified way to mix. Instruments' spectrums are not naturally sculpted like spheres - take a kick drum for example: it has low end, usually a scoop in the mids, then some high end attack. A sphere doesn't reflect that at all. This is one reason why I was developing my Spectrum Panalyzer. It doesn't let you grab the sound and move it around the 3D space like Gibson's The Art of Mixing, but it does accurately portray each instrument's spectrum on the same basic XY(z) grid. It's a huge CPU hog and very difficult to code, though, and I came to the conclusion that I ultimately would need help to complete it. Hats off to Roland on their version of this display in their R-Mix plug-in (single stereo feed, no multi-channel).

Yes you may be right, it's a better idea in theory (or as a mindset) than in practical implementation.

Improved tone, choice of 3 octave-generating methods, topology closer to the original Boss OC-2.

The software used for programming this plug-in does not currently allow for compiling in any formats besides 32-bit Windows VST or EXE, but an update is currently being worked on, which will provide 64-bit compatibility. Hopefully it will come along soon!

If you try using a bridge to run this 32-bit version in a 64-bit host, please feel free to email me with your results.
