Would be better without Keith's vocals.

Disappointing and certainly not as hard as I was expecting from them.
Certainly sounds like The Prodigy though, the usual formula

Blimey - just awful. Like a parody of themselves.

Sucks. You're not missing much though. It's not their greatest work. As others have said, if you like Jilted Generation and don't like Invaders Must Die it's much more like the latter than the former. In fact, if someone had said it was an unreleased song from IMD and I wouldn't have known otherwise.Tricky-Loops wrote:"Cannot be watched in Germany because of copyright issues"jbox5 wrote:So it's been played on Radio 1 and it's available on YouTube here:

What I don't get though is Liam is obviously extremely talented, as proven by his early work but the recent stuff sucks.
Why, what's gone wrong? Is it motivation or simply a case of running out of ideas?

I would say it's clearly a case of running out of ideas. Most of what they've done since Jilted seems like messing around until they find some loops that sound ok then building it into a finished track rather than inspired work. It reminds me a bit of Bjorks career - once the brand is established you only have to keep turning up to keep on keeping on.Mushy Mushy wrote:What I don't get though is Liam is obviously extremely talented, as proven by his early work but the recent stuff sucks.

It's really quite a shame.do_androids_dream wrote:I would say it's clearly a case of running out of ideas. Pendulum are what Prodigy should have become IMO.

I cannot listen to it (because the video is blocked in Germany) but it wouldn't be the first case of an artist running out of ideas (and I include myself, too)...
I was a big fan of their older stuff, "Firestarter" for example...

I know FOTL is quite divisive but i actually rate it as highly as the first two, maybe higher but i admit that owes a lot to the time period and the amount of times i witnessed them live during that era.
Even then, AONO is hugely under-rated in my opinion, its kinda awkward but there's an appeal in that it has so few hooks or anthems.
This tune though sounds a little too much like the worst side of IMD, the beats sound a bit more classic style but really for the most part Keith's creative input should be restricted to the stage. It still seems to me like they are pushing more for the rock vibe which i guess makes sense since their main audience is the festival crowd these days.
