Fixed.
Well apparently Camel Credits have no more value so.......... :P

What is happening on Wednesday that would open up possible explanations?
It's a reference to the Geico commercial with the camel in it that keeps saying Hump Daaaay because it's Wednesday..........you know hump day middle of the week over the hump on the way down to Friday.....

Because we decided that it was Apple who bought Camel Audio, until proven otherwise :hihi:

No amount of thinking can "only makes things worse". The facts are going to be the facts no matter what we think or wish or want or believe.........

Maybe Apple ?
It sure would explain the forced silence.

I know I might have not included a few, but thank you to all, for all of your contributions. This could not have been made possible without you. :hihi:

Since Camels are silent, this could be the most useless thread ever.
Download your stuff and say bye bye... Alchemy will soon be a vintage plugin.
BTW the installer works off-line too, so no matter if the web site will be down after july 2015.

what is not the proble, problem is we all love CA products and wanted to see future versions of the plugins including Alchemy.
i love alchemy that much ...

i dont get it really, i mean i know sound designer were working on Alchemy 2 material and they know nothing too about all that.
never thought CA could be that unprofessional about this all.
(like already said the servers are still up and not closed like on some other companies.)

We will all know soon enough. The question is how long. I'll bet this is all gonna work out in a positive way. You'll see. I'm just really glad we were given a chance to back up because I was one of those that didn't back it up because I was able to download it at any time and thought Camel Audio would be around for forever and a day.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. I had gotten off of a serious call and was so serious when I read this thread that my brain had not realized where I was. DUH!

Post

Oh, I LOVE Alchemy too, and SO much, but this makes no difference at all.
Will we know... what?
Are speculations just a way to say "I love you"? Will this take Ben and all other Camels back from the "bye bye" they told us?
The only FACT we REALLY know is Camel Audio says game over (from july 2015).

Post

As I was downloading to back up a 4th iteration of my backups (none of which were actually completely up to date, it turned out) I realized how glad I was they told us this far in advance of the July 2015 final date. And I also realized I was sad because I never bought Arp Dimensions, Himalaya Vintage... all of 'em really. And the biggest loss.. all those lovely preset demo songs they had on the camel sounds pages are gone :(

Post

Wait, what's this about Camel Audio?

And they're ceasing sales?
A well-behaved signature.

Post

Very sad. Camel Audio was one of those devs I really admired.
I have Camelphat and Cameleon - Cameleon was something I used quite a bit back in the day when I had more free time.
To save me going back and reading all 9000 pages of the thread, have they provided a reason?

No it only means we can still download from their site until July 7th. Nothing about the game being over. If you created one of the finest synths ever would you just let it die or let someone else kill it ?

It's possible Alchemy will have no future development or sales but there has been no official "game over" announcement yet. It could be "game is changing". But I'll admit the longer the silence the harder it is to be optimistic.......

Could be Ben just retired and went fishing..........or could be any of a thousand other possible scenarios....

No and that's why this thread is still so active. I think everybody just wants to know what happened to one of the most popular developers in the business....

Your optimism is getting somewhat painful, but that's just me.
