Just making george's post more obvious.

Too many things to quote here, but if you're doubting the quality of buzz machines, you'd be in for a surprise if you actually tried buzz. Either way, nice plug from Oldfield. Doesn't beat Kraftwerk/Steinberg though.

At the end of the day, it suits the way he wants to work at the moment. We all change direction occasionally. Who knows, I may even start using Project 5...

btw. Does BuzzLE support Machines that support wavetables ? Our crappy wrappers don't.

, and I know what you use, so to each his own. Imageline are a turnoff for me - and I don't feel like justifying this in 1000 words.

One of the strenghts of Buzz is the peer control capability, and FLS gets kinda close to that (think x/y pads and the like), but adds the GUI (which is definitely a matter of taste if you know both worlds). Those peer control capabilities were there in buzz way before FLS had some of them. New peer machines pop up almost weekly now, for buzz, there's no way a company like Imageline would keep up with that.
Another big plus is the modular aspect of it, which allows for very fast mixing/routing, while most other apps are stuck in the convetional mixer emulation, including FLS, at least the last time I checked.
Despite Imageline's views, some Buzz users I know are also open to other platforms/formats when it comes down to it, some are probably FLS/Buzz users. They probably account for a lot of the kvr traffic, too, kvr news often get attention.
As an indication of plugin quality... Think Ohm Force quality. It has counterparts in Buzz - for free.
And here's the best part: suggestions are actually implemented within a day or two sometimes, by the buzz dev "mob". Dunno of any other software that has that, aside from energy XT (thank you, j.) and the smaller devs that are interested in doing better software, not just a better-looking one. For every new synth added in FLS for some $$, usually heavily advertised as the best/cutest/most awesome thing to hit synthesis since Robert Moog, it's very likely that it already exists in Buzz (basic or not, from 5 parameters to 200). (Also think FLS users are not taking advantage of Buzz machines as well as they should, even without the wavetable, there are dozens of synths/effects to try out, and even if there is that money/free conflict with some people.)

Wonder what a live performance by Mike Oldfield might look like now. Kraftwerk did pretty well with Cubase

They're usually either free or cheap, depending on the importance of the plugin, and we don't advertise them all as the next best thing.

Only exceptions are Sytrus (expensive, but is there anything like it in Buzz? I'd like to know), our (free) reverb based on the ultrafunk one (I know you'll say you prefer freeverb-based ones and alikes, but I definitely think they're not as good), our (free) slicer (which is very useful).
