Just a way of getting to grips with the instrument. It's suprisingly hard to make it sound natural. Really makes you think about the actual timing of singing which *seems* perfectly in line with the beat. Great fun
Obviously, everything else is Chipsounds.

go to the products page and scroll down. several discounts are available. there's an intro price on chipspeech, a chipcruser/speech bundle and the chip-trio bundle as well as the all plugs bundle.dusted william wrote:is there an existing customer discount?
it's easy to overlook being below the actual products.
edit: and i am SO glad it's not just a sample library, but actually synthesized!

and here's a little something i found out for everyone who wants chipspeech to speak some German:
C [ç] ich IC
x [x] ach ax
seem to work fine if you enter these in the x-sampa section. could be improved slightly, but I am guessing that would have to be done from the dev's side. success varies from voice model to voice model.

I just bought the full set of plugins! I've been meaning to get Bidule since, like, forever anyway. All of these are amazing, and I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with each of them.
I have a sketch of a song which is about twelve years old at this point- sort of a duet between two speech synthesizers. I recorded the chorus, but never got around to the verses because it was so much effort and not very effective to use a speech synth and then run that through Melodyne to try and make it sound more like singing. Now I can finally get back to work on it and do it properly. Only problem is, I've misplaced the notebook with the lyrics, so I guess I'll be rewriting the verses. Doh! I was also never satisfied with my choice of sounds, and I think Chipsounds will be perfect for it!
Thanks again for writing such awesome tools!

Question about licenses: How many time can I install it? I'd actually need to install it on two computers. Hope that's ok.

from what i remember, reading it a few days ago, you can install it and use it on as many of your computers as you like. i'll go and double-check, though.deft_bonz wrote:Question about licenses: How many time can I install it? I'd actually need to install it on two computers. Hope that's ok.
edit: ok, i've checked their license transfer policy thread (http://www.plogue.com/phpBB3/viewtopic. ... 312f0fe1a2 )
and it says:
We don't do challenge response, no intrusive dongle or "service" software of any kind. instead with both Bidule and chipsounds, you can install the app on ANY NUMBER of your OWN systems, and you can mix and match MACs and PCs, wipe them clean, ghost the machines, reinstall, and always use the same key. There are advantage and disadvantages to any form of CP. We are taking caltulated financial risks with our method.
I think it's safe to assume that, since was written at a time when only bidule and chipsounds were out, this applies to chirpcusher and chipspeech as well.
cheers,
fabian

They use a "license card" (actually an image file) with your personal data (name, address, phone, ...) on it...

I also checked their faq and at http://www.plogue.com/support/f-a-q/per ... nse-usage/ it says:deft_bonz wrote:Love that idea. Never seen this before.paulbreeze wrote:They use a "license card" (actually an image file) with your personal data (name, address, phone, ...) on it...
Personal License Usage
End users can buy a license key that will unlock the product for ANY NUMBER of their personal computers, laptops and workstations, Mac or PC. One key, no challenge/response web accesses or telephone calls for any of your stations. Please read Bidule End User Software License Agreement or chipsounds End User Software License Agreement for more details.
Personally I also think their license key/card/ID is pretty nifty.

the image file licence is great, hassle free easy to do
just drop the image file on the plugin, top marks to plogue for that.
