Oh. I see -- beta tester is the username. I was in a car accident a few years back so my brain can be slow to piece things together. Thank you for your help!

wow the drum presets are awsome, the people did here.
my question is - can i bounce one shots down for the drums? the presets are not constant over the whole playing time.

Glad you like those presets!Ameyah Audio wrote:wow the drum presets are awsome, the people did here.

But unfortunately it is not allowed to sample or bounce just one hit. You can bounce the hole track length to save CPU. But the instability of the sound is part of the synth. You can try to use a compressor to make it more constant.

Just use the options hive already has.
Set the osc mode to reset.
And set the envelope to one shot instead of gate.
be sure not to use fx (in case you do, use subtle settings - if you do it right, you can add organic feel to your percs with the fx... but thar's very finetunish stuff)!
Hope this helps!
Have fun with hive!

You too Jon! I've got a lot of catching up to do with all the entries and other music I've missed during my absence, looking forward to digging through the archives.Doc Jon wrote:Welcome back evo2slo, good to see you again
Thanks jasinski. I knew there was something vaguely familiar about the major chord changes arpeggio plucks in my track but couldn't put my finger on it. I thought it might be Ennio Morricone, but now I realize all those nights falling asleep to Enya's Orinoco Flow must have steeped it into my brain. Haha!jasinski wrote:Great to hear those drums put through their paces! Track had a lot of energy- Some parts reminded me a bit of Enya.

Does anyone else use GMail? All the KVR threads seem to be going to my spam folder now; this is very irritating. I've marked 'em as not spam... but doesn't seem to help anything; any suggestions?

Make a filter... it'll probably put a yellow flag in the body saying, "This message was not sent to Spam because of a filter you created", but it's better than losing it to the increasingly hard to find Spam folder in the first place.

Aha! Filters have the "Never send it to Spam" option. Nice, thanks! Hope we're not missing out on a bunch of awesome people's participation because of this...psmacmur wrote:Make a filter... it'll probably put a yellow flag in the body saying, "This message was not sent to Spam because of a filter you created", but it's better than losing it to the increasingly hard to find Spam folder in the first place.

Maybe I'm alone in this perception.... but I think it's pretty funny that with about 80 pages of posts on another thread talking about Hive as the new "supersaw EDM" synth, many of the entries on this OSC are showing off Hive's softer, lovely and beautiful side!

You can participate with any number of posts, just not vote without participation. Plenty of time left to submit an entry!Igrewsome wrote:can't participate - not enough posts - but here's a few of my very newby attempts at Hive presets! the fx are actually quite nice too. i had a hard time not using the soft clip or foldback distortion on everything
15 instances and my CPU meter barely went over 20% with a full mixer of plugins
Logic Pro X : Prophet Rev2, Blofeld, Toraiz-AS1, Model D, Minibrute, MOTU 828x, Presonus Eris E7's, dozens of pedals
