Yeah, hence shabby, not illegal or inexplicable. If CA wants to be 'that kind' of company they are perfectly free. That's not the vibe they built their business on though.

What makes me laugh most about these threads is the indignation of the preset salesman who've made money off of the synth. Same in Sylenth threads. Thank God I don't need to do business with these guys.

IF they were bought out... then these are THE TERMS of the buyout that THEY AGREED TO.

IF they WERE concerned about their customers... they wouldn't have agreed to those terms or set different terms.

In any buyout/ merger there is a time period where both sides go silent. Happens all the time.
