I recently purchased a used es3, and I've had pretty poor luck getting it to calibrate across a wide range. I've run it on my Make Noise DPO and Arturia Minibrute, and I can't get it to successfully track pitch CVs under around c4. So, higher registers track well, but lower, not even close. The calibration curve looks similar - it's only a steady-slope line from about halfway up.
Any suggestions? Pretty bummed. I'm hoping it's pilot error somewhere.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Most likely the synths are struggling with the ES-3's very wide output range. In the Voice Controller's Output Matrix, reduce the Pitch amount to, say, 0.5 (default is 1.0) before calibration.
Also possible that the synths don't respond to negative voltages, in which case also increase the Offset on the Pitch channel in the Output Matrix.

That worked for the DPO. I'll try the minibrute soon. Thanks for the insight!
