On the web page for the TDR Feedback Compressor II it says, "A successor product is now available! Pls refer to TDR Kotelnikov."

Does this mean TDR Kotelnikov is replacing the TDR Feedback Compressor II? Will development on the TDR Feedback Compressor II continue?
Yes and no. We practically split the FB Comp II into two specialized concepts. One of them is Kotelnikov, a mastering compressor, the other is a tracking/mix oriented device.. ..to be announced.

As soon both a out we'll mark FB Comp II discontinued. I made a few stupid mistakes during development back then which make it really painful for us to maintain the product (SlickEQ and Kotelnikov base on a much better architecture).

@FabienTDR: And the new Nova-67P? 3:)

It depends on the scenario such as the effect out of phase signals may have in relation to each other.

It's probably not a problem for those with effective PDC, not playing live or mixing signals in an 'unconventional' fashion.

Eg
Mix an effected signal with a 'clean' version with no PDC using a plugin that introduces latency and you'll have phase issues as the effected signal is being delayed.

If you have a chain of effects that introduce latency this issue will accumulate

It may be a stupid question, but in what aspect will the mix compressor differ from Kotelnikov?

No or less latency, less CPU usage, less functionality and thus simpler/faster to use, I guess.
Looking forward to it anyway, Kotelnikov is great but a little too much for my small brain :(

Yes, a much more intuitive interface, more color options, side-chaining, several comp models, etc. SlickEQ style.

F--- yeah!

Hmm... I hint 3modes in standard edition.

Maybe one FET-like, one OPTO-like, one VCA-style.
And in GE edition, one additional VARImu compressor. Shiat this could be epic.

Am I being close? 8)

Awesome! Count me in.

This sounds great. FB Comp II & Molot handle the bulk of track compression duties in my mixes these days. External side-chaining is the feature I'm missing the most.

Molot does external side-chaining. Click on the small white arrow in the bottom left-hand corner.

Aye, so it does. I've been in that menu but I must have overlooked or forgotten the sidechain option. Thanks!

Is this still planned?
I use Kotelnikov for track compressor (only 8samples latency in 96000), but would be nice with something a bit more simple.
