Don't make me do this alone.

You won't like what I type.

Or the full page cat pics I have waiting to pounce.

Post, you slackers, post!

Really?

Three minutes and you got nothing to say?

Fine.

Warned you about the cat pics. You wouldn't listen KVR.

Fine. As the last lonely poster on KVR...

Maybe there are some clues here?

Perhaps someone could try to link-up with this guy? I could do it, it's just, I don't want to.

Let's face it, we took Camel for granted. All I said to them was "where's Alchemy2?"

They felt unappreciated, unloved. We grew apart. I started messing around with other plugins. They started talking to other companies.

It was inevitable.

Still we have the memories and the soundbanks.

I get Dream Voices every other weekend and take to the park and we go on the swings.

It's true I now drink too much and cry myself to sleep sometimes. But I know deep down it was my fault and hope that one day I'll be able to move on.

That's what were talking about! Let it all out. But, don't shout, we're not in the 80s hair bands anymore.

My story is so similar to yours...except for the cats. Not sure why I serve them. Maybe just to remind me that that like Cats, Camel Audio might have 9 lives and like to cuddle by a warm DAW on a cold night...

dry your eyes, mate....plenty more even-toed ungulates in the desert

So true....

But still so upsetting. One moment I'm fine, next moment in tears...

Next moment so angry I want to scream and spit...

Following the Alchemy-debacle, this guy here picked up the piano again after deciding to part from audio software and computers for good, he is not quite there yet, but practice, practice, practice...

I am now organizing an encounter group for Alchemists, we meet once a week, each meeting begins with the inevitable "Hi, I'm "..." and I can not get over it", then we delete 666 Alchemy AU plug-ins on 666 Macbook Pros simultaneously, and then morph into each other while dancing around in circles holding hands. It helps...

That's a stunning picture.

Simon, I was thinking the same.

We need to open up to our feelings.

I think I may have a talking stick here somewhere.

Oh yeah, councils with a talking stick will take this to a whole new level!

mhog wrote:I did not tell "you cannot use it", infact I confirm one can play it even in 2023 and beyond. But I can see well how all discontinued software products become "obsolete" very soon. That is the main reason why so many people are going to sell their copy of Alchemy now: they know well in a year or two nobody want to buy it. The same for the above mentioned products (Intakt, B4, Peak etc.). These discontinued synths (and software in general) never become "vintage" (as in "hardware vintage": moog, roland etc.). On the contrary, they lose value (usually becoming free in a year or two). This has nothing to do with sound quality, of course. I guess it has more to do with "out of fashion" outdated GUI, lack of support in case of issues, possible incompatibilities when new OS come out... etc.
Anyone care to post that "huge" list of unsupported plugins that became free in a year or two (or more)?

Yes, this was a rhetorical question. :hihi:
