Crazy guess...has as much traction as the alien theories...
If you consult the mid-Mesopotamia period of this thread you'll note the official government financials showing them in the black.
Even if they were in debt, they had positive cash flow and loyal customer base (although not that loyal as this thread would be over 1000 pages by now and the Edinburg audio riots on the news), but I digress, the point is they could have had a sale or started an Alchemy 2 pre-order sale for delivery in the next millennium.
Lots of fund raising options...but they required none of those, since they were bought out.
It's only a question of who. And that's not even a tough question.
Next question.

So at what point is everybody going to realize that there won't be any further announcements, that CA has gone out of business, that after July you won't be able to get any CA products and even if Apple or whoever bought them (if they've been bought) they're not going to say anything because whatever they bought is going to be put into some other product that has nothing to do with the original company and all of this is just going to disappear into the night?
Me? I've already come to that conclusion and only returned to this train wreck to point that out in case anybody is under the delusion that there is more to come.

(waiting for all the corny JPEGs of flying pigs)
What a waste of time.
