i think people "think" they knew what he meant...but they didnt because it has no meaning. people just respond as though they knew...as you responded like you knew about what a sandwich was.

and now we have people all talking about different things while thinking they are talking about the same thing.

What a load. Jesus. I think everyone but you knows what I meant by 'slices of bread'. I'm sure you do but you for some strange reason hope to deploy silly semantics to obfuscate even this generalistic metaphor. (Instead of meeting the actual point.) Form in preference to content kind of amounts to 'formulaic'. In addition I've said that 'formulaic' by that measure doesn't have to mean an impoverished approach. I feel fairly sure that 'formulaic' conveyed to people and unless they're you, it's meaningful enough.

no one is forcing anyone to eat sandwiches (or mayo jan, so youre safe)
but a good sandwich can be had if youre willing to search through the bad ones...
im beginning to think this metaphor is stretching in to a baguette. ..

i dont buy bread though as i live alone so it goes off before i can finish a loaf

yeah i knew what you meant...not my problem what you meant wasnt what you said and also was inaccurate, which is exactly my point. (thanks for proving it for me).

and i need a sense of humor? really? youre the one getting all hot over an analogy. how am i "offended"? im pretty sure i havent said anything that would indicate ive been offended....you on the other hand...
