I will definitely be doing the VIP update come April 30th. PLEASE take my money now, Eric....who looks great with the weight he apparently lost.
I have a feeling it will be the best $199 I spend in 2015. I sure hope the CPU hit isn't as bad as I fear it might be, though. Also, I hope that Eric will let the VIP's purchase the update a few days before April 30th.....because Spectrasonics server is going to be obliterated that day!!!!

Almost forgot to mention I'm so glad we can import audio and the use of Wavetables is really nice to see.
Now my only dilemma is whether or not I should buy Stylus RMX and get the Omni 2 upgrade for $50 cheaper in the process.
[ EDIT: Just checked and my last post didn't go through.... This thread is going too fast. It's expanding at a rate KVR can barely handle

So it may be wise to get Omnisphere 1 now if the price is low, under $400? and then get the Omnisphere 2 for free on April 30?
Otherwise what will JRR with the discounts like sell Omnisphere 2 for on April 30?

Yes the upgrade is great but really, 249$ for 3000 sounds to the existing 7000? Synth functions that should been there in 2011? I call BS on that price tag. 199$ between atmosphere and omnisphere and that as a game changer. This is not. I welcome the update but 249$? BS i say...

as with every new spectrasonics release, you can almost guarantee that omnispere 2 is gonna melt some cores.quantum7 wrote:I sure hope the CPU hit isn't as bad as I fear it might be, though. standard license is 1st hand lincese. a license which hasn't become NFR.Kalamata Kid wrote:Grace Period Upgrade: FREEKalamata Kid wrote:So it may be wise to get Omnisphere 1 now if the price is low, under $400? and then get the Omnisphere 2 for free on April 30?

a transfer license is a 2nd hand license which has become NFR.
both have the same upgrade price. got mine 2nd hand in december 2014
so i guess i can't complain. the price is a bit high i think. $199 would've been
more orthodox.
