Thing is, they had just released a pretty awesome digital/analog hybrid the year before going bankrupt (Prophet VS), but I guess maybe things were heading south too fast at that point. It was kind of ironic for me. I was looking at a PPG Wave 2.3, only to call up Sam Ash and find out PPG had gone out of business. They recommended a Prophet VS as an alternative, so I went with that...and then Sequential went out of business too.

The P6 looks and sounds pretty appealing. If things pan out well financially this year, it would be rather cool to have a Sequential synth in my setup for the first time in over twenty years.

If I win the lottery, already got a 5 tier ultimate support a frame stand and 2 tier apex stand in the attic waiting to get loaded up. Need to win a big enough lottery to get a bigger house to set em up.

I don't really miss big stacks of keyboards, but given space and budget it would be kewl.

I agree. This is the first Dave Smith product that I'm actually excited about. If the SSM-2040 clone is all that then this might be a must have. IMNSHO, with the exception of the slop parameter, I think this is most things done right. Actual VCOs, the right VCF, addition of a high pass, poly step sequencer, digital time effects and analog distortion, he's pretty much nailed it with this.

This is just beautiful. I got so excited when I saw this...added to my purchase list.

Surely, this is the year when we see people turn away from all the overpriced ebay junk and instead buy brand new analog synths aplenty.

Yes! VCOs and real analog this is the bees knees! I have been eye balling Prophet-5s for a while but they're so damn expensive, I could afford one but can't really justify it at the moment ... And now this comes along!
