Maybe the keyboard focus was somewhere else? Note that there is a "Draw GUI Focus Box" preference that can highlight the keyboard-focused component, but it's off (0) by default.

"" Shared copy on automation track:
I can't find a way to create a shared copy of an automation part (in a automation track). Would be nice if that would work just as with the other parts on the Composer.
It's not yet supported but on the wishlist. Also looping automation parts.""
just found this after wasting another half an hour wondering why I couldn't make a shared copy
why on earth are automation clips different??

.....actually this is a real drag - I need to be able to change a parameter on multiple automation clips - this way I have to go through all of them !!

horizontal zooming still not working for me - I always end up looking at the wrong part of the song - while the part I want is playing - because auto scroll stops working
I'm getting REALLY frustrated here - I need to get stuff done

Can you please explain the horizontal zoom problem in more detail (and more relaxed pls) cause i don't understand what you mean.mickwest1 wrote:horizontal zooming still not working for me - I always end up looking at the wrong part of the song - while the part I want is playing - because auto scroll stops working

OK - if I zoom out to find a later section of the song - click on the time line where I want - then zoom in again - I'm now still seeing the earlier section even though the later section is playing - if auto scroll is on It should be following the play cursor surely?
The only way I get to see it now is to fiddle about with the scroll bar at the bottom
basically I always want to see the section that is playing - (unless of course I intentionally switch off auto scroll)
I seem to remember a similar problem in Cubase - it switched off autoscroll itself - I NEVER want that!

Note that the auto scroll feature will only do auto scrolling when the play cursor was already visible in the view. If for example you're zooming in on a section and the play cursor is out of the zoomed in view, then there will be no auto scroll (even when auto scroll is on) because that would ruin your zooming in. Does this explain it? Or are you encountering something else?

That's exactly what I mean -
"there will be no auto scroll (even when auto scroll is on)" - ?????
can I stop this behaviour? - I can switch autoscroll on/off myself if I want to
When autoscroll is on - I want it to be on !!

If you zoom in with the mouse around the play cursor there should be no problem cause zooming is centered upon the mouse cursor and so the play cursor will always be in the view and so when it goes out of the zoomed in section auto-scroll will do its job. No?

As I said - I'm talking about zooming out to go to a different section - when I zoom back in autoscroll doesn't work
I want autoscroll always to work unless I switch it off please

That can only happen if the zoom out reaches the borders. I mean zoom out will not allow negative start times. That's logical, agreed?
