hi, first of all I'm on a Mac just in case that matters.
I have tried it both with my track pad which is my default mouse but also with a second traditional type mouse.
left click and drag on traditional mouse or corresponding track pad gesture , do not set a loop region. As a matter of fact I don't even get any visual feedback i.e. that lavender rectangle that define start and end point, as I have seen in the Chris Caulder videos.
What am i missing ?
thanks

Right, this must be made more user friendly. I do not like the way it works now.
Maybe the timeline could have an upper and lower part. Clicking on the upper part could make a selection (without pressing Shift), while clicking on the lower part would move the playback position.
