Inspired by a lovely new Imposcar patch by Dave Spiers, I put this together today.

Hope you like it.

It's slow, kind of oriental , bordering on Ambient
It changes halfway, too - so give it a chance :hihi:

I just love that patch :)

Lovely tune I really like it.

Yes, it is almost ambient, I would say,

and amazing stuff from impOSCar. Heard more the wild side till now.

Would like more stuff like this.

thanks guys :)

there's the Imposcar prayer wheel patch (did I mention that? )

there's bass drum / hat /fingersnap samples through some reverb.

there's an AMG One/Solo that's doing the little filtered rhythm. I really love that plugin.
I loaded up a standard drumloop rex file, turned the Amp Envelope sustain to 0 and the decay to about 5%. Then I used the built-in filter with cutoff mod by lfo.

There are also two ambient samples from Bill Laswell's Ambient Grooves sample CD

Last, but certainly not least, the Koto sound in the second half is a Cameleon preset.

Thanks for listening chaps - made me happy :)

What's all this ambient bollocks then eh? gone soft have you? :hihi:

Actually, quite a nice little tune that, needs some of yer faux Roddy Framme jolly Jock crooning on it though son :D . :-o

Post

Nice Oriental flavour going on here.

Lusciously minimal, it works a treat.
Saving this for that ambient CD I'm compiling. 8)

Post

thanks GB :)

vurt - I like that CD a lot - there's a bunch of "natural" ambiences like the one on my track , but there's also a good selection of oddball beats and spacey riffs etc.

Post

which I'm sure you could mangle to hell :hihi:

figured it would be cool with laswells name attached but its always best to ask,you know how some of these sample discs are
but for that price i think id be mad not too
