Wow, ten minutes! Now the party can start!
(What about 15 minutes?

After the trial period (10 mins) is over I think you should go silent for 20 seconds or so and then come back. That solves the purpose and it is way less frustrating.

Thanks for the valuable feedback. There seems to be a need to rework parts of the GUI concepts. This was mentioned several times now. We will try to improve it. Let's see what's possible.Fritze wrote:OK, here's my feedback:
Let's start with the positive things. The LowPass filter sounds quite good. I heard it in the second or so preset I tried. So I quickly started to dive into the controls and wanted to tweak it. and then...![]()
There are many obvious flaws in this synth. So many and so severe that I am not sure how these things could have happened:
- the GUI has the wrong format and is designed by somebody who doesn't know what he/she is doing. Sorry, could have said it more polite but this is the plain truth. Tons of wasted GUI real estate while very important knobs are as big as the poo of a fly? I guess you have a huge monitor, Tobias!![]()
- most knobs are way, WAY too small
- the release on the envs sounds unnatural (linear?)
- the volume knobs aren't correctly scaled. The last bit of the knob movement makes it way too loud
- the output of the LowPass filter is WAY higher than the output of the DiodeLadder
- The designers of this synths obviously don't use presets. Otherwise there would be at least up/down buttons to go through the presets. Clicking the list then choosing a preset from the list to change a preset? Eh, no...
And tweaking a preset and you're inside some strange user area outside the bank you formerly selected.![]()
- Lotsa clicks where there shouldn't be any. No CPU issue.
- CPU consumption was OKish until I turned on 2x RING and my CPU meter told me that it would use nearly 200% CPU!!!![]()
I could go on and on but that should be enough to keep you going into the right direction for a few hours to bring this half thought out early beta version much closer to a full blown product that does what it was intended to do.
Some sounds this synth can do are good but not exactly spectacular to me. The presets didn't show me anything with a wow factor but the rather flat sounding character of the synth.
Peace.
I added preset up/down buttons and improved knob scaling immediately to the backlog of the next version.
And yes the ENV model is linear ... added other optional models too.
For the other topics we need to investigate what the reasons are and if we can reproduce it somehow.
Anyhow, we appreciate the time that you spent testing the plug-in.

Hi there, that might be a doable option that would be easy to implement. Thanks.SaganTech wrote:After the trial period (10 mins) is over I think you should go silent for 20 seconds or so and then come back. That solves the purpose and it is way less frustrating.

We added a fix for the OS X version as well on out download page.Naenyn wrote:Disappointed I didn't make the 25 user cut, but will still give the demo a whirl tonight.
I noticed there is a hotfix that appears to be Windows only? I'll be using the Mac version, so hope the 1-minute demo has been extended beyond that.
Perhaps make the time unlimited, but add some random whitenoise generation every so often?

one thing i forgot to mention, the green black colour scheme is nice, but the green text needs to be much brighter, its hard to see the text and the waveforms (which could be bigger).

Download links aren't working. I was able to get to the OSX version by browsing directly to the file that was showing up in the URL.
In the OSX dmg, the aliases to "Components" and "VST" are incorrect.

ON my old PC the plugin is rather CPU heavy (certain presets easily spike it to 90%). But that was expected.
However I must agree with the folks that complained about the knobs being too small (yup, they are). And - although this is prolly not on your priority list - I find the inconsistent volume of the presets rather annoying. It would be a good idea to have them set around the same volume; some are very quiet, other quite loud. When you're browsing, that can be an issue.

I agree with the preset volume comment, but it is still in the early stages of its life so I guess that will come as it becomes more refined.
I don't mind the GUI, it's straight forward, but it is a fairly simple synth so no surprise there.
Some of the controls are a bit small, but I put my glasses on (like I am supposed to when I read!) and I can read the controls fine.
Above all else, it does sound good.
A smart patch randomiser would be cool though, for those times when I'm just playing about with the synth and don't have a particular sound in mind.

Oh my, that's a shame. It is fixed now. Thanks for informing us.Naenyn wrote:Download links aren't working. I was able to get to the OSX version by browsing directly to the file that was showing up in the URL.

Oh well, it's impossible to post at the developers forum on his Website due to the stupid captcha. So I'm posting apossible bug here.
I own a Vaporizer license-key, updatet the approp. DLL file to 1.01. With FL Studio 11 on Win8.1 it's not possible to save any own presets or other settings. Not even in the host/DAW. Am I stupid or how can I save my sound-creations? ?
