Working on oatmeal. I started about one year testing it, but Synth1 took all my time (design wise its the fastest synth in the world).

At the moment nothing to share, but I am improving patches. The bank will include acoustic emulation (based on my work with synth1) and overall sounds, bread and butter, pads, voices etc.

I find doings things with filter in synth1 than I cannot replicate exactly in oatmeal... they are very different. Things have to be done in a different way. I still can use a lot of patches as reference.

Oatmeal's got more control than synth1 and the wave drawing is ACE. priceless for emulation of single cycle stuff.

Hope you like and be aware of this thread as I will update soon. Cheers.

It's ironic to see this post. I just had oatmeal out for a spin this week for the first time in ages and couldn't help wondering why it seems to have been forgotten. It really is capable of some wonderful sounds.
Will be looking forward hearing what your able to squeeze out it.

Its capable of more than it seems. For example this trumpet I have done on oatmeal, using two instances for different harmonics (to give a bit of "body"). Its got so many controls that you can emulate a lot of "real" world instruments very approximately (not perfect, but good enough for a synth). And of course, for voices and pads its incredible.

I see now a lot of correspondences between oatmeal and Synth1. I can say oatmeal got better controls but synth1 better sound. (but you can do good things in both). Cheers.
