Bought it several days ago, he even answered my PM on KVR.lucky one wrote:Hi all,
I am highly tempted by the Mangle.
My issue is that his developer did not post anything on the web since October 2014.
I tried to send him an email, and the address was broken.
It looks like he disappeared![]()
I'm reluctant to send him money if I'm not sure I will be able to download his software.
Does someone tried to buy The Mangle recently?
Thanks!
Luc

Though I wouldn't expect software like this to support lossy formats, Mangle does indeed support mp3s. I don't have an AAC file to try.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:neither mangle or padshop can work with mp3 or aac files, so they're kinda off my list

i guess that fact it has mp3 means the developer is not averse to lossy. i wonder if it will ever be implemented

Has anybody heard anything about 3rd party patches as far as how that will work? I know the wav files will need to be provided with the patches, but will the software "see" those files when a patch is pulled up? Where will they need to be placed on the person's hard drive? If they have to reload every single wav file upon loading a patch it is going to greatly discourage 3rd party developers.

Plugin can't even remeber last opened file path after copy-paste, so I wouldn't risk making any patches for now.

Hey !
I just bought the Mangler. So far so good. This synth is amazing. For less than 30€, that's a go for sure.
I just have a problem with key Map.
It seems that the mapping has somewhat an offset of an 8th with what comes from the Daw. For example, when I play C3, it actually plays C2 in The Mangle.
I'm using Reaper 64bits/Windows 7. If someone has an idea about that....
