I got a 'real' job in 2006 I think it was, or 2007, my memory fails me. I did do some Alchemy testing and preset design in my camper van in Australia though, and yes I came back to the UK again. Good conspiracy theories though!

Maybe I bought camel audio

As far as just stealing Alc's stuff:
Apple is super rich - it probably would be easier for them just to buy CA ip/employees and have them work in addition with both GB and Logic - that might go a ways to continuing relavence of both products, from their point of view.
Pure conjecture, but makes sense.
Only makes sense if you think that CA had patented technology worth buying out. I love Alchemy but there's really nothing in it that couldn't be replicated without the need to buy the whole company.....unless CA owns the rights to Granular Synthesis which is very highly doubtful.

I use Camelspace all the time and love it but really it's just a collection of effects plugins that could probably be duplicated with a few freeware plugins.

So I'm not sure what CA has that Apple would pay 8 figures for as has been speculated. Not to diminish Ben's skill which is obviously considerable but probably not that unique........

Love CA, love the people, love the software, just not too sure they have anything Apple would pay a lot of money to get or couldn't get cheaper elsewhere. We'll see I guess.......
