hello everyone. i am wondering if anyone knows of a program/vst/etc that is capable of extracting .wav samples out of a reason refill pack. i have been doing it the hard way be opening the refill in reason, then exporting the sample one at a time, but this is taking forever! there are way too many files contained in the refill, and am hoping there is a faster method for this. thank you!

If the next version of extreme sample converter is ever released, it may have Reason import.

This is the reason I convert all my sample-cd's (and other collections) to SF2. That way you can easily edit them, and the NN-XT has a decent SF2-import (a lot better than Kontakt actually - I hope propellerheads will decide to release the NN-XT as a VSTi/DXi/AU somewhere in the future).

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view) it looks like it will just be NN-XT patches. Awave Studio can already do this. Any NN-XT patches inside refills will be inaccessible.cold c wrote:If the next version of extreme sample converter is ever released, it may have Reason import.

heavily compressed, & AFAIK, encrypted as well.cold c wrote:Is the refill compressed or encrypted (or both)?dhanjit wrote:Any NN-XT patches inside refills will be inaccessible.

So can Reason users modify an NN-XT patch that they loaded from a refill?
Is the save as NN-XT file option disabled if it was loaded from a refill?
Poor Reason users.

You can save the actual patch outside of the refill (and modify it as much as you like), but it will still "point" to the .wav files inside the refill it was loaded from. So Awave Studio will convert to and from NN-XT patches where all files are outside a refill, but will not convert NN-XT patches that "point" to files inside refills.cold c wrote:So can Reason users modify an NN-XT patch that they loaded from a refill?
