Rod McKuen died

I only just noticed this - don't remember it being a big news item, but he died just a few days ago.

I'm a huge fan of Jacque Brel's songwriting, and Rod McKuen was by far the most successful translator of Brel's songs.

Not sure I ever heard any of his own songs that really stood out, but for making Jacques Brel's songs available to a wider audience I have always admired him.
