I heard something about Radio Shack closing many stores (like 2,400 stores) due to bankruptcy, but wasn't sure if they were totally folding ...is 2,400 stores all they have, I'd think more
Yeah, their prices were often higher than most. I've bought so many items throughout the years at Radio Shack since I can remember. I've always thought of Radio Shack when I need parts and was my go-to store.
In recent years buying less because there have been more options, but when it was just more convenient, I still bought their stuff....like in the last decade I've bought most of the midi cables I still use today, my cordless headphones, many audio cables...and probably ALL the audio adapters I have & use have been bought at Radio Shack.
Even though this is is probably due to their prices, and more competition, it's still kinda sad.

Ha ha, well said.SODDI wrote:http://www.pcworld.com/article/2878815/ ... -says.html
When they were the only game in town, a lot of people had to pay their vastly inflated prices for parts or do without.
I used to go there between sessions to find adapters, cables, etc for the studio from time to time.
You could always count on the employees adding two bits of sophomoric "how-to" advice.
No matter what state you were in, there was always that guy....
