SoundCloud songs and links appearing on other websites

Has anyone noticed their SoundCloud songs and links appearing on other websites?
I have a tune on SC that I've just found on an "attack" website, complete with links to porn sites.
http://mp3musicdownload.info/listen/as- ... e-96842598
This is an "attack" website (as most with the .info domain extension are), and x-rated images are displayed on the same page as my songs. The page also displays comments that were made for the song, as if it's a legitimate web page for the song.
I did NOT allow SoundCloud (or any other third-party app or website) to re-distribute my songs.
Use Google to do a search for your own songs, and see where else they're appearing. I have a "help request" in at SoundCloud now, but I doubt they'll be able to tell me anything. At the very least, I want them to block access to that website (which I know they can do), so if any one else has other websites they want SoundCloud to block, please let me know ASAP!

It's probably done automatically by some kind of bot. Was your song private? If it wasn't private, someone somewhere can take it and use it.planetearth wrote:Has anyone noticed their SoundCloud songs and links appearing on other websites?

No, the song wasn't private, and yeah, I figured it was a bot. But don't you think SoundCloud should be doing a better job of patrolling their site? After all, there's no mention on the attack page that the songs are hosted on SoundCloud, so it looks as if we're the ones posting the songs on the attack sites. Doesn't that look bad for us?bjporter wrote:It's probably done automatically by some kind of bot. Was your song private? If it wasn't private, someone somewhere can take it and use it.
SoundCloud could block specific websites (or entire domains) from being able to link back to them.
Maybe it's just me, but if someone does a search for my stuff, I'd rather they not see x-rated images and have their computer taken over by malware and viruses.
I suppose I could turn off "Display Embed Code" for each song, but I'm not sure if that would keep me from posting legitimate links to the songs.

EDIT: I just tried it, and while it appears I'll still get access to code for embedding the songs, I'm not sure what other ramifications there may be.

Yeah sucks, but not much we can do, or even SC for that matter.planetearth wrote:bjporter wrote: Maybe it's just me, but if someone does a search for my stuff, I'd rather they not see x-rated images and have their computer taken over by malware and viruses.
