I am also having problems in Cubase 6. Loaded Cream in the instrument rack and assigned a midi track to it, set this midi track's input to all midi inputs, set its midi output to Cream. Then I created an instrument track and set its input to the output of Cream. I put the instrument track in 'input monitor'. I feed some notes to Cream and nothing happens. The synth isn't receiving midi from Cream. I tried with several synth plugins, nothing works. I used Cream in the past and it used to work, but it always seemed a bit buggy to me and the timing was wobbly in Cubase, to say the least. I thought I'd give it another shot because there was an update, figured this might fix the issues. But now I am stranded even sooner. Please guys, can you help?

This is exactly how I use Cream in Cubase. The difference is the setup works for me.
You can check that the MIDI track channel is same than Cream input channel. If it isn't Cream ignores the notes.
Note that every Cream track has their own MIDI in/out channels.

Resolved in the meantime. The problem was that I installed the full version without uninstalling the demo. For most software, the demo is a full version that can be registered by entering serial. It took me some digging in old emails to find the download link for the full version. I can also report that the wobbly timing issues in Cubase seem to have vanished: when I record the arpeggio onto my instrument track, everything is right on the grid. Nice!

I never bother with the instrument rack in 7.5. Just load Kirnu on an instrument track nlike anything else, load a synth on another and set the input on the synth track to Kirnu's output. As long as the monitor button is activated on the synth track, everything works fine. It used to be more complicated. It isn't any more.
