VOTED.

Tough call this time.
Not only were there a lot of tracks (69 in total) but very good tracks.

As others I have to resort to some kind of statistical curve and a couple of home rules to not put every track in the 4-5 points department.

Despite what seems to be an objective and easy way to do sorting the 69 tracks was a bit daunting.

I downloaded them all and will listen to them again this week in my car (*) to see if anything changes.

(*) Hint : if you want more points from me, write a piece that fits well with driving along a highway. :D

Finally, voted

This was seriously a very hard time to vote, because of the great tracks were delivered and there are so many tracks to listen to.

Good luck everybody!

I think I voted. I hope next time there won't be 69 entries, that was really tough. Amazing broad range of styles, only country and hip hop were missing :hihi:

Tough one indeed. I didn't score based on a curve. Truthfully, I didn't feel there were any entries deserving of less than a 3, so I'm not going to curve and give someone a 2 if they my initial impressions were that they weren't deserving of one. Obviously, there were some within a score level that I felt were better than others in that level, but such it is with a 5 point scoring system.

If I happened to soundcloud like/repost your entry, it merely means your music hit my musical strike zone. But, it's not at all reflective of what your score might be. And the same applies for those I didn't like or repost. You may have gotten a five score with excellent sound design, mixing, arrangement, etc. - I'm just not really into that style of music.

Good luck and a big congrats to everyone! I had fun as always, and I think the quality of the tunes speaks highly to Hive as a pretty easy albeit powerful VST. Looks like u-He has done it again!

Hi guys,

it's done, I finally voted!

Quite a hard task to do, I listened to each of the 67 tracks at least twice from start to end... and to some of the tracks a lot times more.

There are so many great tracks in this OSC, wow!

Thanks to all of you for all the great and interesting music, and good luck :tu:

Cheers

But as far as it helps someone - I don't mind :)
I think the same way.
I mean, i like to boost the best of anyone, i think they are enough aware of what they are doing "bad", where "bad" is not bad at all, just an unique way to see how to make things, others can like it, or dislike it.
However, if someone ask me for a constructive critic, i'm open to it if i have the time to do it.
For example, i know what i do bad, where are my lackings and my weak points (mostly in mastering and sometimes in mixing) but i'm always thinking that my tracks are not the best out of there, and that's why i demand too much to myself, but well, this is not up to me, just the listeners, they choose what is good, what they like and what not. So at the end of the day, the only think we musicians can do, is continue making music.
We, musicians are very sensitive persons, we are empathic with others, so we don't want to offense anybody, and that's why we rather prefer to ask previously and be so kind to others, or this is just me, no idea.

My stats:
·Number of Tracks with 1 point= My own track.
·Number of Tracks with 2 points= 10. These need a bit more of work, but with practise and being constant you will do great stuff sooner or later, be patient, all come eventually.
·Number of Tracks with 3 points= 23. Enjoyed a few parts of them. Keep up the good work. You are doing it well.
·Number of Tracks with 4 points= 30. Enjoyed and felt you all. You don't have too much else to do, keep doing what you do.
·Number of Tracks with 5 points= 3. I just need to choose my 5 points winners, 3 participants from my 4 points list. Let's see.

For now, all i can say that all tracks have great parts, good sound design, i enjoyed the trip as usual.
Thanks for sharing your feelings, skills and tricks and good luck everyone :)

Have a nice day :)
