Why not mimic the colored text of the buttons on ED's MKS? Seems clear since they are without the glow which make it hard to read and is appropriate to the time period.ENV1 wrote:Well, i just found another pic that shows one in the same bright grey.EvilDragon wrote:AFAIK there was none of that. Which one should i use?martin_l wrote:EvilDragon wrote:I suppose it should probably be MW LFO since it reacts to modwheel instead of pitch bend
I am flexible on that. The JX8P calls it BEND LFO. But there is no reason to stick to that.
MOD DEPTH or MW LFO seems more appropriate.
Since i will have to print new labels for the darker BG it would be a good opportunity to change it to its final description while im at it.

Although I haven't seen the concept yet I'd prefer buttons to membranes......The membranes on the current gui look toyish

Thats what i did, the glow was added to my screenshot by EvilDragon.bftucker wrote:Why not mimic the colored text of the buttons on ED's MKS? Seems clear since they are without the glow which make it hard to read and is appropriate to the time period.
Martin would prefer to have membranes though, so thats what im going to make. Im sure they will be much better legible too since the contrast will increase accordingly if the buttons themselves are colored.

Ill try to make them look good.Teksonik wrote:Although I haven't seen the concept yet I'd prefer buttons to membranes......The membranes on the current gui look toyish
(The right color tone and a bit of gradienting can work wonders on such objects. Im confident that i can come up with something nice.)

that's the light.
roland greys are quite hard to do for screen. going a little bit darker helps,
like above pic - if legend is clear.
the pg300 i had was quite dark. i think the 800 is the same colour.
pg1000 is much darker.
where'z this latest version then?

Gotta disagree. With a sound so faithful to the original, the look should be too. IMHO.Teksonik wrote:So it's time for it's emulation to grow up.........AdmiralQuality wrote:The JX-8P looked toyish!Teksonik wrote:The membranes on the current gui look toyish![]()

Besides it's the PG 800 that ENV1 is emulating....and doing a great job of it....as long and the candy color gang doesn't brainwash him into turning it toyish.....
