if I can't honor the original file, there's not much point to it.

this is a challenge, I'll need a few days :o

I am both

Fourteen and a half minutes??!! Bloody hell :) Is the piano meant to be playing a melody? Sounds like random out of tune notes. On the plus side there are some fantastic dark sweeping pads panning left to right, beautiful textures on those. The arp'd dingdongs get annoying quickly tho.

Very brave experimental music, and if it was done in one live take, my hat off to you, certainly kept my interest up for at least 10 minutes.

Yeah I know; I'm not really a keyboard player and this is as far as my live playing goes yet. I am more a sounddesigner/programmer

Thanks; The pads were pre-programmed in a sequence running through Cubase (but that was only 4 minutes long) as the Fizmo.
And the Juno is playing a repeating sequence. Control of the Fizmo and Juno were done live, while playing the piano on the SY85.

won't comment on the metal side... don't care whether it is metal or not, anyway :D

As I said last night this has a very disney like quality. The seven dwarfs meet Tim Burton, dark but playful. The piano adds just the right touch too, your understanding of which notes to hit and when is right on. Nice one Mark if a bit long (all that disc space). :) 8)

Emmmm, I personally wouldn't call this understanding as this was more played intuitively, then it was a thought out play

Thanks Bruce.

And thank you Phil and Dave too.

I'm quite happy with the piano patch too and I might use it more often :)

Now; what the heck are DT's?

...another one to add to my tottering stack of "KvR tracks I'd love to fiddle with".

Very atmospheric, great sounds. The piano's not half bad, but in such a sparse track it is very exposed (its "cleanliness" in particular) - perhaps you'd like to try a real one in August? (Hope it's in tune! )

I'd like to work on this (purely for my own gratification :D ) - I'd try changing the rhythm of the sequence to a straight 8. I'd also be more extreme with the arrangement, stripping it down in places to virtually nothing, and building it up in others to such a size, volume, and atonality, that it's just the right side of bearable!

Now there's a morning smile to guide me through a working day yet to start.

I'd be honored to one day hear a clueless version of this. (wonders if sickle did some drums yet  )Can't provide you with separates though, and the sequence is allready over-written. Only thing I can provide separately are the background sounds. These tracks are one-takes

Still strip away, and be free to do what you want here :D

Heh, yeah... I wonder what will happen with a truely expressive machine. I know I'll have loads of fun in Southport. Still I think 6 days will not be enough 8)
