FLUX-FX looks interesting, but I wasn't very impressed with the rather unsophisticated use of it Adrian Belew made of it in the first video I saw. It looks like a variation of Turnado, with a more artsy look to it. Anyone try it out yet?

Hi Breeze,
Yes I have it. It's pretty cool. Was waiting for that one for a while. Plenty of sound design capacity. Devs are very responsive on audiobus forum.
I'd suggest using this with an ipad air minimum to use it fully. It's a very well though out app imo. It's got a big x-y thingy kaoss pad which you can control all 5 fx at the same time (choose which params you want) or if you want you can control all 5 fxs with 5 small x-y.

Stuck in Aperture Laboratories for a 2nd time!

Looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts on it. There have been a number of reports of problems, but maybe the Air2 will handle it.

Thanks for the heads up; I'll check the Audiobus forums. I just got an Air 2 as well, so CPU won't be a problem for a while.paradiddle wrote:Hi Breeze,

I can see the physical capabilities from the promo materials; I'm more curious about the sound quality. Do you have Turnado? These 2 apps look very similar. I'd be curious to hear from someone who has both.
Then again, my iOS budget has fallen significantly from what it was a couple of years ago and I just read recently that Apple now has a 14-day return policy, but it's not clear to me if that's international or only in some regions. At some point I got fed up of blowing money on apps I ultimately was disappointed with.

If anyone else is interested, the discussion on the Audiobus forum is rather comprehensive. A lot of satisfied customers...

While Turnado is a cool app, I think they are quite different. To me FLUX:FX is much better in terms of depth and user interface. It feels like a real performance tool you can take on tour.
