Harmor = best additive resynthesizer?

I love this synth. The last time I was playing with this, I was dropping spoken word snippets in the resynthesis window and just playing with the features of the window. It does amazing stuff.

it's a good seller and there are (killer IMHO) soundbanks available:Wildfunk wrote: - it's a niche synth with not many buyers

As for morphing, the key is what you wanna morph, it's a pretty vague term. You can already blend in many ways using an image editor. Vocoding is already a form of morphing, afterall.

Okay, I can't believe something this simple can't be done with Harmor outside of my stupid Cubase save preset system.
I don't know if anybody uses Harmor with Cubase but here's the problem.
I've created a test patch just to get a feel for the synth. It's pretty simple actually if you take the parts one piece at a time.
Anyway, I want to create a blank vst bank to save my patches in. But there is no way to do this. I can take the existing default bank that's loaded with Harmor and resave it under another name, but it's still going to pull up the factory patches that came with the default bank.
Is there some way to clean out a bank? If not, how do I remove the individual patches from my new "User" bank so that the only presets in that bank are the ones I've created?
This seems like something that should be so basic and yet there is nothing in the manual on this.
Any clues?

** EDIT ** Okay, I see what Harmor is doing. The preset that I created, which I put in its own folder, is now listed in the menu of presets when you open it up. I guess this is good enough. I just have to have the user put the folder in the Harmor path where the factory patches are and they're good to go. Still, that menu is going to get damn crowded with another 350 patches to list.wagtunes wrote:Okay, I can't believe something this simple can't be done with Harmor outside of my stupid Cubase save preset system.

Neh, no such luck. Obviously Harmor was really made to be used to its fullest with FL Studio. That it works in Cubase at all is a gift.Chapelle wrote:In the FL version there's an option for "Tree display" in the patches menu. Maybe that's in the VST version, too?wagtunes wrote:Still, that menu is going to get damn crowded with another 350 patches to list.
It's okay, I think I've figured out another workaround. I'm just going to have to include some instructions if somebody wants this bank to appear by itself.

On Mac you do get a tree type menu with submenus for each bank but the preset handling is still pretty rubbish. You actually have to place your bank inside the VST to get patch banks to show up in the menu.wagtunes wrote:** EDIT ** Okay, I see what Harmor is doing. Wagtunes, what version of Cubase are you using? Have you been able to successfully drag an audio or image file into Harmor?

I'm using Cubase 7 and I can drag video with no problem. I know there are those complaining about not being able to do that.Greg Houston wrote:Wagtunes, what version of Cubase are you using? Have you been able to successfully drag an audio or image file into Harmor?

Did you try to run Cubase as admin (as mentioned)? Another idea: Put the images in the same folder of Cubase.Greg Houston wrote:Wagtunes, what version of Cubase are you using? Have you been able to successfully drag an audio or image file into Harmor?

Yeah, it is definitely running as admin. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the new screwy windowing system in Cubase 8.Wildfunk wrote:Did you try to run Cubase as admin (as mentioned)?
