Probably been said before, but I would have myself a huge laugh, or at the very least a pompous giggle, if eventually Alchemy 2 did appear and all those who frantically sold their copy and thus gave up their upgrade path were left holding the bag.

How incredibly, over-extremely and most hilariously funny.

... meanwhile, Alchemy is still and will remain an awesome synth for years to come.

You know I am thinking about building a dedicated offline machine running unsupported OS just to keep Alchemy (and other orphanware... awesomeware?) on hand for decades. Am in the midst of building an i7 monster for the next 5 years' use (I hope) and Alchemy will be on it for sure; just thinking about the future a bit.

It will die if you use it too little. You need to turn all the knobs at least once a week to stop them going rusty.
