I came to the conclusion, that the lack of special offer and sales at Camel Audio in the months over xmas, make me think that Ben has kept his cards close to his chest for a reason. As has no doubt been mentioned over the past weeks, there's still a possibility that Ben has been approached or/ has approached other developers about Alchemy and all the Camel line, knowing that having such a strong product that he can't fully support any more or to put it another way, is strong but not strong enough to allow him full time wages, when he has a house, car and a family to support, would be more than enough for him, to sell the business to a bigger developer so they can add it to there line and of course know that it has a future.
If I was any of the current big names in VST I would be seriously interested in Ben's business as a going concern.
No doubt, scratching over the marketing options is the biggest headache, whether or not to keep Camel Audio as a separate entity, or re brand it and re market it, is an area of head scratching. there is also the big question of what it's worth.
It would be a big shame to loose Alchemy's name and idea to the digital ether.

They sold it for big money and part of the deal was that the new owners want them to STFU.. ..otherwise this lame behaviour (we closing, we don't talk about the reasons with our customers) aren't understandable.
Would be a pitty if Alchemy ends as Logic AU only tho.. ..but if? For PC-users the chance is that other companies fill the gap.

I just read this in KVR news release. I am not here very often anymore, but I tell ya... I am completely taken by surprise by this...floored. Every correspondence I've held with them has been a pleasant professional experience. They've given away many very creative packs and tried some nice buying schemes during the years. Every piece of software is timeless. One of the few developers I really REALLY hate to see exit, but I hope nothing tragic has happened to bring this about. I hope everyone is healthy. It doesn't seem to be something like that, but the way this went about seems very strange. I would think us registered users might receive a mailout about this. Anyway, if you're out there CA... Best of luck moving forward. Sorry for whatever reason this is happening. Last but not least THANK YOU for all you did.

My guess is that Presonus bought Camel Audio. They are the ones who need the most a good plugin instrument in the DAW world. I guess they''ll be launching StudioOne 3.0 this coming July, Alchemy 2.0 included!

Telegraph Staff11:54PM BST 15 Oct 2014 wrote:The American owner of a wildlife park in the Mexican resort of Tulum died after being kicked, bitten and sat on by a camel, and authorities seized the private facility's animals pending an investigation. Rescuers had to use a rope tied to a pickup truck to pull the enraged camel off the body of Richard Mileski of Chicago, Tulum Civil Defense official Alberto Canto said Wednesday. He said the attack happened Monday.
"The camel kicked and bit him practically to death, and when he was almost dead, he sat on him," Canto said. "Between the blows and the weight of the camel on top of him, he was asphyxiated."
He said it was still unclear why the animal, which was in a kind of enclosure, attacked Mileski, and authorities were sorting through a number of versions, including one that the camel was angry not to get a soft drink.
"One version is that he would always give him a Coca-Cola to drink, and apparently that day he didn't give him the Coca-Cola," Canto said. But, he added, "there are a lot of versions."
