Maybe try this one :
http://web.archive.org/web/200305241044 ... ssiva.com/
Good to know that there are folks out there who at least try to create some sort of digital memory of the WWW . Can be a life-saver from time to time...

I take it then that xt:sampler will be a commerical add-on to energyXT? What sort of price range are you looking at, Jorgen? From the teasers you have given us so far, I can't wait to get my hands on itjorgen wrote:CyberFree + MachineII + Energy -> xt:sampler![]()

nope, it will be freejorgen wrote:I may do some version number jumps, I mean, when the sequencer/sampler and real-time groove/gate control is ready, it should at least be a v1.5 or v2.0 or something. I'm not charging anything for v2.0 though...

I know this is probably a daft question to some of you, and in no way meant to criticise jorgen's decision to do it, but why do some of the 'small' (for one of a better term) host developers immediately start working on built-in sampling? (eg Muzysnth, FL etc)
After all, Ive already got samplers, but there are quite a few things I'd say were 'more' important to a host than Yet Another Sampler...

I suppose it really depends on what features the sampler has, I'm guessing it won't be a sample player like sfz?
I just found this quote here
(Almost) everytime I think of a feature to add to the wish list I find it is already possible.

whyterabbyt, what kind of features would you prefer? "Groove" type features? MFX support?jorgen wrote:it is not just a regular sampler...

Still, I was very interested into buying EnergyPRO. Be sure to keep a link to buy it!jorgen wrote:CyberFree + MachineII + Energy -> xt:sampler![]()

Hi, there's a lot of reasons why I want to code a sampler/synth, but basicly because I then can use the same sounds banks in windows and linux (when eXT is linux ready), and most importanlty, add features I don't find in other samplers...
I feel that it makes eXT a complete music app...but don't worry, eXT is not a complete app until the wishlist thread is empty
cheers

Will the sampler support .sfz files at all?
And I would say to cold c that, yeah, MFX support would be kinda nice as a feature because Ive got a fair investment in them already, but its not a 'killer featuer' for me because I tend to use eXT hosted rather than as a host.
Although some things I'd like to see include some sort of MIDI scripting interpreter, some sort of automation scripting interpreter, something like FL's 'Dashboard' but with support for aforesaid scripting tools and appropriate graphics widgets, full hotkey/mouse/menu-switchable window layouts, offline MIDI and sample-region processing, something analogous to Sonar's multiple-track-view Piano Roll (with colour coding per track), some sort of 'processing rack' widget for saving space, and a whole load of other stuff Ive wanted in the past but cant think of right now...
