Again many thanks for this version. Only thing I would ask for: the dark orange is not easly readable on my notebook screen, especially on dark grey:EvilDragon wrote:Oh, I forgot to upload the actual skin. Sorry
Here you go, fellas!

Any way to brighten that up a bit?

You can edit the colors at the beginning of the .txt file. Although I don't find any problems with readability on my laptop...

Something must be wrong with your system, that screenshot has a completely different color than on my system.
As for the skin, thanks, guys, this really makes a huge difference. I've never gone beyond presets so far because the circular layout confused me a lot. This is much cleaner and I actually understand what's supposed to be doing what. Great job!

I don't know why that dark orange on grey looks so weird on my machine, maybe it's only on my screen - have to take a look at my docking station screen also.

Definitely calibrate your screen!

The only reason I have dark orange there is to easily see the difference between a regular control and a modulation-related control (which is the same idea I used in my Orange Zebra skin variant, too). It's easy to make it a little brighter orange, definitely, this line has to be changed:
So probably something like cc3300ff will work!
Code: Select all
COLOUR name='modulation' rgba='aa3300ff'-

Yes, I remembered that from your Zebra skin.
I just made it yellow, fits nice to orange and is readable on my machine. Will try to calibrate asap, but it's an old low cost laptop, so I guess I'll have to live with that poor screen quality.
So my question again (towards the U-he crew), will that skin be an official MFM2 skin someday?
(I'm just afraid that some updates could break the compatibility...)

Just playing with this now and must say I really like it
One thing tho, has anyone noticed that the visual for the LFOs is broken? At first I thought that it may be the skin missing some element or whatever but it seems that it could be update 3304. I rolled back to 2570 and it (the display for the LFOs) works for both the default and Spaced Out themes.
I have only checked this in one DAW (Podium). Curious to know if this is happing for anyone else?

Huge improvement guys, love it, hope something like it becomes the default, would attract more buyers IMO.
Seeing a couple of pretty major problems though:
- The LFO section is only half there, the right-hand maybe 20-25% of the plugin window is blank white, making the LFO section unusable. This may be the same thing H-man saw. I've attached a screen shot (I think, haven't uploaded files here before). The stock skins are fine.
- Once I've selected Spaced Out from the Look dropdown, if I right click again to choose a different skin, the menu comes up the first time, and choosing a different size works, but going back to the cinnamon or hard-boiled skins does nothing, and the right click menu won't open again after that. It's not locked up, still processes audio, but the Look menu is dead. Removing and re-adding the plugin gets it back. Closing the plugin window and reopening it sometimes gets it back, but sometimes crashes Studio One instead of closing. None of this happens switching between the stock skins (cinnamon and hard-boiled).
This is in Studio One 2.6.4.29745 64 bit on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I can't figure out where to find the MFM2 version; user manual says only 2.2, nothing more detailed, and I don't have the installer handy.
This may not be a problem with the skin itself, but since the stock skins don't have either of these issues, it kind of seems like it has to be. Where are the original themes, for comparison? They're not in MFM2.data\Support\Themes\.
Thanks again for your work on this. I can't use it just yet, but I'd love to, it's great.

Looks like those might be issues with MFM in S1. I don't get that in Reaper...
EDIT: I don't get that in S1 either... 64-bit on W7 64-bit. Weird.
Do you have the latest rev (3304) installed? You can see the rev on the default skins, near the Save button (mid-left of the GUI).

I got that issue when I simply dropped the Spaced Out folder into Themes. It was also crashing reaper and tracktion that way.
I had to drag the contents of each folder contained in Spaced Out into its' respective U-he data folder.

Hm. Odd as I never got that crashy behaviour. Custom skins are indeed supposed to go to .data/Support/Themes.
