what needs to be done here is for all to stop responding in any way to all the negative comments and accusatory tone. that is something that ruined the other thread and got it locked. then maybe these trolls or whatever they actually are will get bored or whatever and we can make this a true discussion and resource forum of algo synths.

I asked myself if you are really allowed to host them why Guido don't chime in at least one time and confirm your words?
Now i see only that you try to make a few bucks on the back of him and you justify it with costs for hosting.

Glad you will no longer be posting on this topic.....

I think it is an amazing feat of willful ignorance to still not believe that I have permission to host these instruments at this point. But, if we all saw things the same way the world would be.... dull? peaceful?

Yes quite unbelievable, and not only that, totally hypercritical given how he backs and supports a n other to host them.
I too am glad he's not going to be posting in this topic any more.

Anyhow, back to the legitimate free Algo plugins.

Some explanation..... I had some free time so spent said free time sorting through some sf2 files from Paule Amca.

This little grouping is tentative at best. Not all sounds (as I learned from making M42-dnekm) work. They may sound like they will work, you might think that they will work - but in the end, when making presets with them, they do not always quite fit. It is a process....

So, I have made 1 preset using the first sound, and that is it so far. The rest of the sounds - I have jumped about in the presets in the rest of the bank trying out the new sounds randomly but that is not always a good indicator....

I have, from my current selection, 4 sounds in reserve as alternates for the finished file. If anyone comes across a sound that just either does not fit the instrument or just does not belong - let me know here and I will replace it. Like I said, this is a process....

I do not have time to make presets for this at the moment - so you can either be patient and wait for the presets or just jump in and explore on your own.

And for anyone who still has any problems with me doing things the way I am doing them - talk to the kitty....

Updated the file with a second preset that is tentative and uses the 5th sound (the last sound in Bank 0)....

I think I said something similar a few pages back but let me repeat. I've dealt with dnekm for years and I have found him to be of the utmost high moral standards and character.

If he says it, you can believe it........simple as that.

Updated the M42-dnekm2 sf2 file. 1 sound in Bank 0 has been replaced. There are also now 5 tentative presets in the preset file. I have not gone beyond Bank 0 yet.... This is going to be slower than before, but it will get done....

Pretty sure the M42-dnekm2 sf2 file is finalized now. There are no presets included as I have started working on the bank file for it. If you just want the sounds to play with, grab it....

Put up the unfinished bank file for the M42-dnekm2 sf2. It has all 10 presets for the sounds in Banks 0 and 1 and 2 presets for the sounds in Bank 3 of the sf2 file. I am still messing with the gate setting on Impatience. The others are more or less finished.

I will get to the rest when I have time....

Just discovered something about the first dnekm bank tonight....

I never saved the presets as individual .fxp files in the the first preset position, so I have no idea what you all have been hearing....

It is a quirk, that I forgot, then kind of remembered, and then forgot again....

I am fixing it....

With the dnekm2 bank I did it correctly. Saved every preset as a .fxp on its own to load the appropriate sf2 file, then added it to the bank file after.

I just realized I did not work that way at first. Took me a bit to remember things....

Also, with the dnekm2 bank I put the presets in order of sounds loaded. I will go back and do that with the first dnekm bank as soon as I have them all sorted and saved as .fxp files first....

Fixed the M42dnekmbank file and added the folder with the individual .fxp files. Did the same for M42dnekmbank2.....

The presets now list in the order the sounds are listed in the sf2 files.....

You do great work and everything for free just to offer another nice sounds for music community - I can not understand why some persons can not appreciate it and they just churn water with their negative approach
