OK, I played through about 20% of the presets with the TGX-99 and am VERY impressed - $99 very well spent! Fantastic job Mr. Gospel Musician....the Lord has truly blessed you with great skills in creating your libraries.
I honestly felt like I was playing the SY99 that I owned some 20 years ago. The sound was crystal clear and the samples were mapped and edited very well. Great GUI also! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do the EX5, FS1R, and Kawaii K5000 so I can give you more money.... and so that you may earn untold fortunes.

Thanks for hearing the detail we tried to put into our libraries

and some other question, can you fully make sounds like a synths itself? i dunno those old synthesizers sadly but here someone made his own sounds on his SY99, so can i reproduce his sounds too?

You can partially create the sounds from they SY. We have included the raw waveforms from the machine, but you cannot create any of the sounds that have AFM or RCM synthesis.
You can create the bread and butter sounds that only use the sample waves, but that is it.
Based on your video, the TGX-99 can create the pads, strings, and organ sounds I hear from your video, but not the EP sounds as they use FM.

One thing I'd like clarified - given that you are sampling and reselling the audio recordings owned by Yamaha in effectively a sample library, which is outside the standard intended terms of use of musical instruments, do you have specific licensing from Yamaha to resell their content?
I mention this and note you've a number of times in this thread specifically mentioned about problems with people ripping off your work.

$99 seems still a bit much for me? or absolutely worth it?
how is creating user presets with it? any opinions?

If you like the sounds of the SY99, then I cannot see why you wouldn't like this. $99 is really not that expensive for this sort of library. I realize everyone's financial situation is different, but if you really want an old SY99, you choices are either $500 thru $800 on Evil-bay, or the $99 TGX-99. I went with the later and am very content with the $99 purchase.Caine123 wrote:how are opinions on this so far? i really struggle if i shall get it or not![]()

I did own an SY99, but it was 20 years ago mind you, that said, it sounded pretty much like I remembered.

I think so, but let me go up to my studio later this evening or tomorrow and I'll see if I can pin that sound down for sure with the TGX-99. Talk soon.

Cool Track! I had a few spare minutes so I ran up to the studio and listened to the video while the TGX-99 was loaded up. The piano was close, but not exact. I blended it with one of the TGX-99's synth piano patches and it was even closer. With some EQ work it should be pretty easy to do that.....although to be fair you could probably get that sound with many other ROMPlers..... I would think. Hope that helps some.
