old thread but for ppl still googling this i was having the same problem until i went into program files and deleted the video plugin folder located in program files/sony/acid pro 7.0/video plugins. as i do not use acid to edit video, once i did this it started up no problem. hope this helps anyone. cheers

Wow. Amazing to see an Acid user still active. I have a Sony Acid Pro 7 license. I'm gonna see if I can still download everything again and load it on my pc. I miss it alot. But, it is probably outdated. Heck, I'm gonna see if my old Sampletank 2 can reload too.

Yeah.. now I'm curious if I can get AP7 running again.. using Acid Music Studio now, at least it sometimes gets updates..

Acid Pro 7 and Sound Forge 9 running nicely on Win7 64 here. Both programs play nice with my plugins too, so no worries about being 'outdated'
