FXTELEPORT Alternatives?

Ok i have a Problem with FXT. that doesen`t seem to be fixable, i must admit i am using a firewire connection, but i have heard others have the same problem with ethernet, latency times rising every other time i want to use it and it does not help downloading latest update, that should help on certain problems in cubase sx 2, as described aboved. It happens anyway, i have tried installing it again annd again, latency times rises and sound dissapears, there does not seem to be much activity on the respective forum in regard of solutions. So i must admit im most in favour of selling my extra horsepower(the pc), because it has not given me anything.
